The Foster Festival's Normflix Series, our new definition of Norm(al)!

We are pleased to announce The Foster Festival's new NORMFLIX series. A three-part, online series that is sure to tickle your funny bone and will continue to deliver our trademark Humour with Heart that you have grown to love.

The Foster Festival launched our NORMFLIX - ARTIST SERIES as a part of the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre's #NiagaraPerformsSeries. Episode 01 is a reading of a scene from Norm Foster's Here on the Flight Path, starring real-life couple Melanie Janzen & Jamie Williams.

Love, life and loss are all discussed with big laughs and a few tears in what many describe as Norm Foster’s funniest play ever.

Melanie & Jamie starred in our 2016 production of Here on the Flight Path during our inaugural season. The production was originally directed by Blair Williams.

You may also remember Melanie as Natalie Whitaker in our 2017 World Premiere production of Foster's Lunenburg and Jamie as Blake Wellner in our 2019 World Premiere production of Foster's The Writer.

The performance is followed by a Q&A session with Melanie, Jamie & Norm Foster. Enjoy!

The Foster Festival's NORMFLIX - ARTIST SERIES continues with a reading of a scene from Norm Foster's Come Down From Up River.

Starring Kirsten Alter & Peter Krantz

Shaver Bennett has lived a rather solitary life as a logger in the woods of northern New Brunswick. One day he arrives at the doorstep of his estranged sister’s daughter, whom he hasn’t seen in 20 years. His niece, Bonnie Doyle and her wife Liv Arsenault welcome him into their lives in this sweetly moving tale. Love is love.

Kirsten & Peter starred in our 2018 production of Come Down From Up River during our third season. The play was originally directed by Patricia Vanstone. You may also remember Kirsten as Janine Babineau in our 2016 World Premiere production of Foster's Halfway There and Peter as Charlie Butler in our 2017 World Premiere production of Foster's Lunenburg.

The Foster Festival's NORMFLIX - ARTIST SERIES continues with a reading of a scene from Norm Foster's Jonas and Barry in the Home.

Starring Norm Foster & David Nairn (Artistic Director, Theatre Orangeville)

New friends Barry Butterfield and Jonas Ainsworth are living in an assisted-living home together. Barry, a retired dentist, is newly a senior and unsure of what to do with his days at Gateway Gardens. Jonas is a retired stage actor who spends his time wooing the women in the home. Jonas and Barry will win your hearts.

Original Direction by Derek Ritschel
